Create Your First Video

This guide walks through a complete whiteboard animation end-to-end — plan, draw, sequence, narrate, preview, and export. Allow about 15–20 minutes for a short (15–30 second) clip the first time.

Step 1 — Plan a tiny script​

Keep it small. Write one or two sentences and the 3–4 visuals that illustrate them. A clear plan makes the timeline step trivial.

Step 2 — Open the editor and pick a board​

Open wbamai.aoneahsan.com/editor and choose a board style. Whiteboard is the safest default.

Step 3 — Add a title​

Use the text tool to add your headline. Set a font and a reveal effect (typewriter reads well for titles). Place it near the top.

Step 4 — Add supporting visuals​

Add 3–4 elements that support the script — shapes, arrows, an icon from the library, or an imported image. Don't overcrowd the board.

Step 5 — Set the draw order and timing​

On the timeline:

  1. Order elements so they appear in narrative sequence.
  2. Set each element's start time and draw duration.
  3. Add keyframes if anything needs to move, grow, or fade.

Step 6 — Add narration​

Open the audio panel and either generate text-to-speech from your script or record your voice. Align the narration so words match the visuals.

Step 7 — Preview​

Play the full animation in the preview. Watch for:

  • Text that reveals too fast or too slow
  • Elements that overlap awkwardly
  • Narration that drifts out of sync

Adjust timing until it feels right.

Step 8 — Export​

Open the export dialog, choose a resolution and format, and render. See Export to WebM or GIF for the trade-offs.

Step 9 — Save it (optional)​

Sign in to save the project so you can refine it later or reuse it as a template.

Tips for good first results​

  • Shorter is better. A tight 15-second clip beats a rambling minute.
  • High contrast. Keep text readable against the board.
  • One idea per reveal. Let each element land before the next appears.
